ABOUT THE BOOK

A seductive sea siren and a handsome water elemental meet – and try their best to save the world.

Molly, a sea siren with dangerous powers, swims to the mainland on behalf of her people. Menaced by an evil supernatural sea monster known as the leviathan, the siren conclave has no choice but to reach out to those on the mainland for help.

Rick is a Navy SEAL, son of Admiral Morrow, who oversees all of the Special Forces soldiers who have paranormal abilities. But Rick’s lineage is something different from most. He’s an Elemental with vast powers over water. The oceans, rivers, lakes and streams are his domain and all those who dwell there recognize his influence.

When the Admiral sends his son and the siren on an overland dash to Grizzly Cove, they encounter enemies, ambushes and danger. They also meet unexpected allies and new friends. But most surprising is the fierce passion that blooms between them as they work together, discovering how well their abilities complement each other and how well their personalities – and bodies – mesh.

Their ultimate goal is Grizzly Cove – the bear shifter community where the leviathan first reared its ugly tentacles. They will seek the Alpha bear’s assistance in safeguarding the small siren community… Goddess grant that they’re not too late to save them..

Molly is a siren with a very dangerous power. Her small community is endangered by the evil leviathan and she’s been sent to the mainland to get help. She teams up with Rick, a water elemental and Navy SEAL, on a quest to get help from the bear shifter soldiers of Grizzly Cove, but it’s not as straight forward as it seems. She’s undeniably attracted to Rick and sparks fly between them. Could he possibly be feeling the same?

EXCERPT

Rick flicked a hand signal at his brother, knowing Jim could see as well in the dark water as he could. The water was their domain. It was part of their heritage. There wasn’t anything that went on in the depths—especially here, in their own backyard—that the water wouldn’t tell them about if they listened closely.
They’d only been home a few hours when their father had told them about this meeting with, of all things, a sea siren. He’d sent them out into the water behind their new home, to do a little reconnaissance before the meet. It made sense that the woman would arrive by water, since it was her element, as well.
The admiral had said he’d noticed some unwanted surveillance from the direction of the river that ran behind the house. Even living in a specially-built community developed especially to house shifters of several kinds, they hadn’t managed to completely outfox the bad guys who wanted to keep tabs on them. This special meeting would be particularly open to observation since the woman would be approaching through the water and the other side of the river was a bit more vulnerable to infiltration than the admiral had anticipated.
Neither of the brothers had ever dealt with a siren before, but their father assured them that they were not susceptible to her allure. Sharing the same element meant that their magic was similar, and the famous siren’s call would have no effect on either of the brothers, who were both single.
Their father would be immune, as well. Both because of his power as a water sprite, and because he had found his true mate in their mother. Mated males would never follow a siren’s call. The bond of a true mate negated a siren’s magic.
The woman they were meeting was early for the show. If she had hostile intentions, it was their job to find out. Maybe she was just being cautious. As they were. Maybe her early arrival was innocent. Or maybe not.
Rick took a moment to study the woman’s power. It was clear she had quite a bit of magic at her disposal just from the way she moved through the water. He couldn’t see her clearly yet, but he felt her presence, and something about her…tickled some half-formed memory. Or, perhaps, it was some half-formed emotion. He wasn’t sure exactly what it was about her, but something felt…familiar.
She was closer to him than to Jim, so he swam out in front of her and blocked her path. She didn’t seem surprised to see him, which took him aback just for a moment. She met his gaze and then pointed upward. He nodded and followed her to the surface.
Under the water, her face had been covered with fine, pearlescent scales, and her hair had been almost fin-like. He marveled as she broke the surface of the water and her scales melted into pale skin, her hair slicked over her head as any human’s would. The parts of her beneath the water were still scaled and fish-like while the bits that were in air looked fully human. A neat trick, Rick thought carefully to himself.
“You’re a bit early,” he said, taking the offensive, which was his right since this was his family’s territory.
“I wanted to get the lay of the land, so to speak. My apologies for trespassing before time.”
Her voice was musical and mellow to his ears. Soothing and very seductive, but he didn’t think he was falling prey to her siren’s magic. He didn’t feel compelled to do anything she asked. He just felt horny.
She was, after all, a beauty. Her eyes were the deep green of a stormy sea, and her hair was dark with water but would probably be the color of sand when it dried. Her bone structure was exotic and lovely, and her lips looks full and ripe for kissing.
Kissing? Where had that thought come from? Rick almost shook his head to clear the odd thoughts as he tried to focus on the task at hand.
